Such a shame that it is all over.

Happy New Year all.

I'm sick. I'm just sick. I can't believe JS is gone. Everything from almost 5 years. It can't be just over, just like that. It can't be. All my friends are scattered everywhere. I just know we'll all lose touch. I have links all over the place but have had so much to deal with here that I just can't find the energy to keep up.
Isn't there something we can do? Can't Dylan just put the bare-bones site up and let us rebuild it? We could start from scratch. I just can't accept that it's gone forever.
Westy, tell him how much it means to us.

Dear sweet friend Betty : :sadcry: Me too. Most of us are on WordPress , or on BlogSpot.

I am now going to keep up my blogging at BlogSpot as JS is gone.

It's gone. :bigcry:

Nothing we can do about it right now.

Just keep up the faith that "someone" will bring it back in the familiar JS style .

xoxo's to you *big hugs*

I do believe it was the Germans that bombed Pearl Harbor.

The Italians were lucky to bomb Ethiopia and get out unscathed.

This kind of feels like the end of "Stand by Me." Or maybe "The Breakfast Club." And, much like "The Breakfast Club," I doubt we'll ever hear the end of the Duck Joke.
It's not that I'm lazy. It's that I just don't care.

I admit to be in a bit of shock. I just knew they would get everything back! I also figured that the only reason it wouldn't come back would be something intentional having happened. Unfortunately, from the explanation, something like that must have happened.

I'm particularly sad for my little one, Sunsetspurr, who never backup'd her wonderful entries. she is sleeping now, but will be devastated. I was holding out hope for her sake.

I'm not sure what I will do now. If I decide to blog elsewhere, I will let you.

Thank you to everyone who has been there over the last 3 years! It has been an amazing ride!

Love,
Carla

Heartbroken

Postby GoGo » Wed Dec 31, 2008 5:57 pm

My heart has a little chip in it on this last day of 2008.

I was with JS for 4+ years, and I can't believe that it is gone forever. How sad. I will not only miss my home there, but I will miss the hundreds of writers I read on a regular basis. What made JS different from all of the other blogging sites was the sense of community; it really was the perfect microcosm of our world, and I am blessed to have been a part of it.

If you want to find me, I am at: msgogo.blogspot.com

Pastor Larry, the writer was probably referencing a John Belushi quote fom the movie "Animal House". Otherwise it makes no sense at all.
